Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the 2026 Ioniq 5 at Rs 55.70 lakh ex-showroom. The electric SUV continues to be based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and receives updates across multiple areas including battery, features, and design.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Battery and Range

The updated model is equipped with an 84.0 kWh battery pack. According to the company, the vehicle delivers a range of up to 690 km under ARAI certification. This marks an increase compared to the earlier version and is expected to support longer driving distances between charging cycles.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Exterior

The exterior design retains its existing structure but includes revisions to certain elements. The front and rear bumpers have been updated along with the addition of revised skid plates. The alloy wheels feature a new design, and the rear section includes a modified spoiler. Changes have also been made to the lighting elements, while the overall design layout remains consistent with the earlier model.

Inside the cabin, the layout has been updated with a new three-spoke steering wheel that includes integrated illumination. The vehicle continues to offer dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The centre fascia has been revised, and the wireless charging area now includes integrated controls for seat-related functions such as heating and ventilation.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Technology Features

The updated Ioniq 5 includes the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system along with Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) update capability. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have been added. The vehicle also introduces an in-car payment system that allows users to pay for EV charging through the infotainment interface. Additional features include remote immobilisation through Bluelink and an Active Sound Design system.

New safety and assistance features include Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist for rear applications and a side Parking Distance Warning system. These additions are aimed at improving awareness during low-speed manoeuvres.
