Tata Motors proudly unveiled its latest creation, the Tata Curvv SUV, on the inaugural day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Set to hit the market in the forthcoming months, the Tata Curvv showcases a blend of innovation and style, poised to challenge the midsize SUV segment with its versatile features.
Boasting a sleek fascia and distinctive coupe-like roofline, the Tata Curvv marks a significant addition to Tata Motors’ lineup. Amidst a landscape dominated by conventional SUV designs like the Creta and Seltos, the Curvv promises a refreshing take on SUV aesthetics.
Presented with 18-inch wheels and a sophisticated 360-degree camera system, the Curvv demonstrates Tata Motors’ commitment to blending advanced technology with contemporary design elements. Recent patent images offer a glimpse into the SUV’s final design, showcasing subtle yet impactful tweaks from its Auto Expo prototype.
Notable enhancements include an extended LED light bar reminiscent of the Nexon facelift and an updated grille featuring a piano black and body color finish. Additionally, the Curvv introduces flush door handles, a first for Tata Motors, and a prominent faux skid plate accentuating its robust appeal.
Measuring 4,308mm in length and offering a spacious 422-litre boot, the Curvv positions itself at the heart of the midsize SUV segment. Its 2,560mm wheelbase ensures a balanced stance and optimal interior space for passengers.
The Curvv will debut with a range of powertrain options, with the Curvv EV leading the charge. Set to commence production in April at Tata Motors’ Ranjangaon plant, the Curvv EV aims to capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles in India.
Following the Curvv EV, Tata Motors plans to introduce petrol and diesel variants, catering to diverse consumer preferences. Equipped with a 125hp, 225Nm, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, the Curvv promises an exhilarating driving experience across its lineup.
With an ambitious annual sales target of 48,000 units, Tata Motors seeks to carve a niche for the Curvv in India’s competitive SUV market. Anticipated to redefine standards in its segment, the Curvv embodies Tata Motors’ relentless pursuit of automotive excellence.
