Tata power-Magna Yuma: Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL). A major electricity distributor in North Delhi, has partnered with Magna Yuma Private Limited. To introduce battery swapping stations for electric vehicles (EVs) in the national capital. This alliance was cemented with the signing of a MoU on July 29, 2025. Tata power-Magna Yuma: Key Features and Launch Details
- First Deployment: The launch phase will witness two battery swapping stations installed at TP-DDL grid substations. Shalimar Bagh Facility Centre Grid and Badli Grid.
- Technology and Responsibilities: TP-DDL will equip the space and infrastructure. Whereas Magna Yuma is responsible for designing, procuring, installing, and maintenance of the facilities.
- Focus: The key targets are commercial electric two- and three-wheelers. The important segments for Delhi’s gig and delivery economy. The scheme is set to lower EV downtime for fleet operators, gig workers, and delivery partners. By providing fast, convenient battery swapping in place of long charging halts.
