Tata Nexon EV Red Dark Edition: Key Highlights
Tata Motors has launched a special Red Dark Edition of the Nexon EV ahead of the festive season. First showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show, this edition is now available with the new Nexon EV 45 variant, featuring a larger battery pack. Below are the top 5 highlights of this special edition compact SUV.
1. All-Black Exterior with Bold Accents
The Nexon EV Red Dark Edition features an all-black exterior, adding a striking and aggressive look to the SUV. It comes with a carbon black paint finish, a piano black lower grille, and charcoal grey roof rails. The 16-inch alloy wheels are also blacked out, matching the theme. The SUV sports a 2D logo in piano black to complete its sleek design.
2. Red Interior Accents
Though the exterior has an all-black theme, the interior contrasts with red accents. The cabin features a red user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) screens. Adding to the aesthetic is the Red Dark Double Deco stitch running across the dashboard.
3. Red Upholstered Seats
Continuing with the red accents, the seats in the Nexon EV Red Dark Edition come with red upholstery. This bold touch gives the dark cabin a sporty yet elegant vibe.
4. Unique ‘Dark’ Badges
In line with its exclusive styling, the SUV features ‘#Dark’ badges on the fender and the seats, reinforcing its special edition status.
5. Voice-Assisted Panoramic Sunroof
The Nexon EV Red Dark Edition comes equipped with a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, which sets it apart from the regular variants. Additional features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. This variant is priced Rs. 20,000 higher than the top-spec Empowered+ 45 variant.
Powertrain and Range
The Nexon EV Red Dark Edition offers significant upgrades in its powertrain. Unlike the version displayed at the Bharat Mobility Show, which had a 40.5kWh battery, the production model features a larger 45kWh battery pack. This new battery offers a range of 489km, an improvement over the standard 465km. The electric motor remains the same, delivering 143bhp.
