The latest spy shots of the upcoming Curvv EV showcase its adherence to Tata’s design principles. The front fascia is characterized by sharp LED headlights and a commanding grille, reflecting a futuristic aesthetic. Its side profile features a sleek, coupe-like silhouette, contributing to its sporty demeanor, while the distinct alloy wheels further enhance its dynamic appearance.
At the rear, the Curvv EV boasts sleek, wide tail lights that maintain the vehicle’s bold design. The clean lines and minimalist design elements underscore Tata’s commitment to contemporary aesthetics. Notably, the spy shots captured two Curvv EVs at what seemed to be a charging station. Displaying temporary registration plates, the vehicles appeared impeccable, suggesting that these could be final production models.
Tata Curvv EV Battery and Range
Tata’s upcoming electric car, the Curvv EV, will offer both standard and long-range variants. The standard variant will feature a 40.5 kWh battery pack, the same as the one used in the Nexon Long Range variant. This battery pack is certified by ARAI to provide a range of 465 km.
The higher variants of the Curvv EV will come with a larger 55 kWh battery pack, offering a potential range of around 550 km. However, the act.ev platform underpinning the Curvv EV can deliver a range of up to 600 km. Tata Motors aims to achieve the best-in-segment range for the Curvv EV.
All variants of the Curvv EV will be equipped with a front-axle-mounted electric motor, and further details are expected to be disclosed soon.
Curvv EV Competitors
At the time of launch, Curvv EV will compete with the MG ZS EV, which has a 50.3 kWh battery pack offering a range of 461 km. Curvv EV’s top variants are expected to have a range of around 550 km, giving it better numbers. Future rivals include the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX, with the latter expected to have a 60-kWh battery pack and a range of around 550 km. While range may become less important due to improving charging infrastructure and faster battery pack designs supporting ultra-fast charging.
