MG Motor India has announced the name of its new model, the 'Windsor', which will be India's first Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV). The car is inspired by the famous Windsor Castle and is based on the Wuling Cloud EV, sold worldwide by its parent company, SAIC. The MG Windsor draws inspiration from the iconic Windsor Castle, known for its royal heritage and impressive architecture.

The MG Windsor is designed for consumers who desire the comfort of a sedan combined with the spaciousness of an SUV.”
JSW MG Motor India recently shared a sneak peek video of the MG Windsor electric vehicle, highlighting its comfortable sedan-like feel and spacious SUV-like interior. Although the complete car wasn't revealed, the teaser gave hints about the main exterior features. The front is expected to have LED daytime running lights (DRLs) with headlights on each side, following the global design trend. The MG logo will be prominently placed below the DRLs, adding to the unique look of the front of the vehicle.

Exterior of MG Windsor EV
The preview of the MG Windsor EV showcases advanced features including integrated LED daytime running lights, a panoramic sunroof, and a sophisticated alloy wheel design. The international variant boasts a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, and a comprehensive safety package with four airbags.
The MG Cloud EV is expected to come with six airbags, an enhancement from the four airbags found in the international model, to further improve safety. Additional safety features will likely include electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, an electronic parking brake, and a 360-degree camera. ADAS, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking, may also be available, providing increased safety and convenience for drivers.

MG has not yet released the technical specifications of the India-spec Windsor EV. This car aims to offer sedan-like comfort with features such as a multifunction steering wheel and panoramic sunroof. The vehicle is also anticipated to feature dual screens for both the instrument cluster and the infotainment system.
