BMW officially revealed the all-new BMW iX3 on September 5, 2025. At the IAA Mobility event in Munich. This vehicle marks a milestone for the brand as the first production car based on the groundbreaking. Neue Klasse (New Class) Gen6 electric automobile architecture. It is a paradigm-changer in terms of range, performance, charging speed, and interior technology. Opening a new chapter for BMW’s electric mobility future.
Design and Platform
The all-new BMW iX3 takes a new and restrained design language in line with BMW’s electric future vision. It has illuminated kidney grilles, thin headlights integrated into a one-unit graphic. Proportions equal to premium electric SUVs like Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. The car is built on BMW’s specific Gen6 electric architecture. With high-voltage 800V technology and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
BMW IX3: Powertrain and Performance

The iX3’s interior blends luxury with revolutionary technology and roominess:

BMW IX3: Market and Availability
BMW is expected to launch the iX3 in India in the first half of 2027. Possibly as a locally manufactured car. It will rival luxury electric SUVs such as the Audi Q6 e-tron and the upcoming Mercedes GLC EV. The iX3 marks the start of the roll-out of the Neue Klasse series, with subsequent electric sedan models in the pipeline.
