MG Motor India Unveils New EV Initiatives
In anticipation of the launch of its Windsor crossover, MG Motor India has introduced two significant EV-related initiatives. These include a partnership for battery repurposing and the launch of a new information website for EV-related queries. MG is gearing up to launch the Windsor crossover in India next month. This new model will be MG’s latest entry into the electric vehicle market, featuring advanced technology and sustainable practices.
Introducing the eHUB App
MG has launched the eHUB app to streamline the process of locating, reserving, and paying for charging stations. The app integrates with nearly all charging networks in India through partnerships with major providers, including Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, Glida, HPCL, Jio-BP, Shell, Statiq, and Zeon. Available in 11 languages, the app is accessible on both Android and iOS platforms.
MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP)
MG has also unveiled the MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP). This collaboration with Jio introduces cutting-edge features, such as the MG Store, which turns the vehicle into a hub for gaming, entertainment, and learning. It also supports voice commands in six Indian languages and introduces a groundbreaking Home-to-Car functionality. This feature will debut with the Windsor crossover and will eventually be available in MG’s other EVs.
Project REVIVE: Battery Recycling Initiative
In collaboration with TERI and Lohum, MG has announced Project REVIVE, a battery recycling initiative. This project focuses on extracting healthy components from used batteries and repurposing them into energy solutions for schools and community centers.
