The launch follows a worldwide push to become one of the top EV manufacturers. Follows the company’s strong showcases at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. VinFast’s entry will redefine the premium electric SUV market and spur environmentally friendly manufacturing in India.
VinFast: Feature-Rich Debut Models
VinFast launches its Indian assault with two highly-expected electric SUVs. The compact VF 6 and the mid-size VF 7. Both commanding global attention for their innovative design and sophisticated technology.
- VF 6: Priced at ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom). The VF 6 is aimed at young, urban families with a fuel range of up to 400 km and city-centric ergonomics. The SUV features a contemporary, minimalist cabin. A comprehensive safety package, and connectivity features optimized for the Indian digital landscape.
- VF 7: Priced around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) upwards. The VF 7 is targeting premium buyers who want a combination of performance, roominess, and luxury. With ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control. The VF 7 sets the bar higher for made-for-India EV mobility.
Deliveries will start shortly after VinFast’s Tamil Nadu facility is inaugurated. With pre-bookings for the SUVs now open through VinFast India’s official website and new dealer partners.
VinFast: Commitment to Manufacturing in Tamil Nadu
VinFast is committing more than $2 billion to a cutting-edge greenfield factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The factory, which will break ground in late 2025. It will produce 50,000 EVs per year to start, with aggressive plans for expansion as demand increases.
- Tackling sustainability: VinFasts’ factory will have green manufacturing practices. Battery recycling initiatives through collaborations with companies like BatX Energies.

Nationwide Dealer Network
VinFast aims to introduce 32 dealerships in 27 Indian cities during 2025. Covering major metropolitans such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai. The network is likely to grow to 35 outlets by the end of the year. With an emphasis on customer experience, after-sales support, and easy availability of parts.
Service and support will be complemented by 24/7 roadside assistance through Global Assure. Digital diagnostics, and a national call center. VinFast also partnered with myTVS and RoadGrid to amplify its footprint of charging infrastructure. One of India’s largest obstacles to the adoption of EVs.
