Indian electric vehicle maker Ultraviolette Automotive has hogged the limelight with the release of its first electric scooter. The Tesseract, and an electric dual-sport motorcycle, the Shockwave. The event was held on March 5, 2025, at the “FAST FORWARD India 25 conference in Bengaluru. Where the company marked its focus towards revolutionizing electric mobility through advanced technology and creative designs.

Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter: A New Benchmark in Urban Mobility
The Tesseract is Ultraviolette’s maiden entry into the electric scooter space with futuristic styling and sophisticated features.
Performance and Range:
- With a 20 bhp (15 kW) engine, it reaches a maximum speed of 125 kmph.
- From 0 to 60 kmph in an incredible 2.9 seconds.
- Delivers a best-in-class IDC range of up to 261 km, based on battery pack.

- Launched at an introductory price of ₹1.2 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers (₹1.45 lakh thereafter).
Ultraviolette Shockwave Motorcycle: India’s First Electric Enduro Bike
The Shockwave is aimed at adventure seekers who want a light yet potent electric motorcycle. It marries tough looks with premium performance.
Performance and Range:
- Delivers 14.5 bhp (10.8 kW) with a maximum torque of 505 Nm at the rear wheel.
- Delivers an IDC range of 165 km, perfect for urban commutes and off-road excursions.
Design Features:
- Enduro-style construction with high ground clearance.
- Twin LED headlamps and spoked wheels (19-inch front, 17-inch rear).
Pricing:
- Launch price at ₹1.49 lakh for the first 1,000 units (₹1.75 lakh after that).
