In the rapidly changing face of the automotive world, where sustainability meets innovation, the TVS X has emerged as a beacon of modern engineering and design. From its aggressive aesthetics to robust performance and a host of intelligent features, the TVS X is designed for that tech-savvy rider who’s equally keen on style as he is on substance.
TVS X Design and Build
The new TVS X is built on a new TVS Xleton TM platform. The scooter features an aluminium exposed frame that boosts its performance and durability. The scooter looks aggressive, it almost looks like a bad boy, with its slabby contours, slim headlamp, and a devilishly crafted rear section.
Powertrain
Carrying a 7 kW strong motor, the TVS X can manage to develop 11 kW of peak power and a maximum torque of 40 Nm, enabling this scooter to a top speed of 105 km/h. Acceleration is relatively quick; it does an attainable 0-40 km/h in 2.6 seconds. This is powered by a 4.44 kWh battery that gives a range of as high as 140 km on a single charge.
- There’s an option for a 3 kW fixed charger, which takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge the pack up to 80%.
- The portable charger (950 W) takes roughly 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%.
Technological Features of TVS X
While the TVS X has state of the art features that would give even a better experience, it comes with a 10.25 inch tilt adjustable TFT display that connects with smart phones, providing navigation, crash alerts, and geofencing. The X allows for video streaming and internet browsing when stationary but does raise eyebrows on the aspect of safety during the ride. It also boasts custom LED lighting, with 26 individually controllable LEDs in the headlight.

TVS X Review by Zaran Mody
Zaran Mody has tested the TVS X electric scooter. Being true to the concept of “the Creon”, he says, “With an exposed aluminium chassis giving it that X-factor, its striking design sure turns many an admiring head.” Mody was quick to point to incredible performance: “It is powered by a 7 kW motor, which is one of the most powerful in its segment, allowing for brutal acceleration to 0-40 kph in just 2.6 seconds.”. However, he did mention a few teething issues, including the occasional shutdown of motors while riding. “Though it is a bit premium at ₹2.5 lakh, it would have a broader customer base of the young and tech-savvy generation”, says Mody.
The TVS X is far more than just an electric scooter; it is a new, bold leap in the evolution of two-wheeled electric mobility. With its unique design, strong performance, and a host of innovative features, the TVS X should raise the temperature in thick competition for people seeking style and efficiency in their choice of transportation. The EV space is still evolving, and the TVS X looks promising to alter benchmarks on electric scooters not only in India but around the world.
