Tata Passenger Electric Mobility i.e. Tata.EV has launched the much-awaited Curvv EV in India with two battery pack options i.e. a 55 kWh and a 45 kWh. Its introductory price starts at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant with the smaller 45 kWh battery pack. The SUV Coupe offers a full charge driving range of 585 km with the larger 55 kWh battery pack.
Similar to the Tata Punch EV, the Tata Curvv.EV is also based on Tata’s 2nd generation pure EV-only architecture i.e. Acti.ev (Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle). Let’s take an in-depth look at all the details you need to know about this new Coupe SUV.
Tata Curvv EV Design & Exterior
Being a Coupe SUV or SUV Coupe, the Curvv.EV gets a sloping roof line and a liftback design boot lid at the rear. The front headlamp assembly looks similar to the Tata Harrier whereas the front full-width connected LED lightbar resembles that of Nexon EV. The Curvv EV comes with bi-functional LED projector headlamps and LED fog lamps at the front.
The rear also comes with a full-width connected LED taillamp. It comes with front and rear sequential turn indicators with a welcome and goodbye animation function in the front and rear LED lightbar, with the front one also capable of displaying the charge status while the car is being charged. Its side profile gets aerodynamic flush-type door handles with illumination and 17-inch alloys with aero inserts.
Tata Curvv EV Ground Clearance & Boot Space
The electric SUV also gets a ground clearance of 190 mm and a water-wading depth of 450 mm, making it extremely capable for tough terrains. Moreover, Tata has also carved a boot space of 500 litres with a 60:40 split seat function and a front trunk i.e. the frunk. Coming to its wheels, it gets 18-inch alloy wheels with aero-efficient inserts for better aerodynamics.

Tata Curvv EV Range, Battery & Motor Specs
The Tata Curvv is a front wheel drive vehicle with a front axle mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor generating 150 PS and 167 PS of max power with the 45 kWh and the 55 kWh battery pack. It comes with 3 driving modes i.e. Eco, City & Sports, and 4 regenerative braking levels. For regen adjustment, it also comes with paddle shifters. Moreover, with such a powerful motor, the Curvv.EV can propel from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 kmph.
On the range front, the Curvv EV with the bigger 55 kWh battery pack can deliver a maximum certified MIDC range of 585 km on a single charge. However, Tata claims that its real-world range will be between 400 to 425 km. On the other hand, the 45 kWh battery pack in the Curvv EV can provide a maximum claimed MIDC range of 502 Km.
Tata Curvv EV Variants and Colour Options
Tata Curvv EV with 45 kWh battery pack is available in 3 variants whereas the Curvv EV with 55 kWh battery is available in 4 variants.
Coming to the colour options, it offers 5 different shades i.e. Pure Grey, Flame Red, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White and Virtual Sunrise.
Tata Curvv EV Price & Bookings
Set to rival in the mid-size SUV segment, the Curvv EV has been priced very competitively. Its introductory price starts at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant with the 45 kWh battery and goes all the way up to Rs 21.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant with the 55 kWh battery.
