This milestone achieved on October 28, 2024, brings RNAIPL into the limelight of the Renault-Nissan global supply chain for both the Indian and the International market.
The Chennai Production Lines of Renault
Established in 2010, RNAIPL is already one of the significant centers of automobile manufacturing in the country. In 14 years of its existence, this plant has produced
- 2.83 mn of engines that support different automobiles,
- 1.67 mn of gearboxes are going into the local markets and export markets and
- 2.75 mn number of complete vehicles; also, it is one of India’s large automotive plants.
RNAIPL’s Chennai campus spreads over an enormous 600 acres, with fully integrated end-to-end manufacturing. Right from melting aluminum ingots up to casting and assembling of finished products. From compact cars to powerful SUVs, RNAIPL has the capacity to manufacture engines ranging from 800 cc to 1500 cc. The facility also has achieved impressive milestones in electric vehicle technology, as RNAIPL commits itself to the future of mobility and sustainability.
