Paris, 23 May 2025 — Nissan has unveiled the all-new, all-electric Nissan Micra EV. Marking a bold new era for one of the world’s most popular city cars. The sixth-generation Micra, rebranded as the Nissan Micra EV. It is scheduled to arrive in European showrooms by the end of 2025. Nissan Micra EV: A New Look for the Electric Age
The 2025 Micra EV, created at Nissan’s European design center in London. The vehicle has a playful but confident appearance, with bold wheel arches. A floating roof, and hallmark semi-circular LED daytime running lights. Personalization allows buyers to customize their Micra EV with a palette of 14 bold color combinations. Two contrasting roof colors, making it one of the most customizable EVs on the market.
Electric Powertrain: Two Options, Zero Emissions
The Micra EV is available with two battery sizes from Nissan:
- 40 kWh Battery: Produces 120 hp (90 kW) and 225 Nm of torque, and has a WLTP range of up to 308 km (191 miles).
- 52 kWh Battery: Provides a more punchy 147 hp (110 kW) and 245 Nm of torque, taking the range to a whopping 408 km (253 miles) on a single charge.
Both models are compatible with rapid DC charging up to 80 kW. For the smaller battery and 100 kW for the larger battery. Allow a 15% to 80% charge in 30 minutes. Nissan has also fitted the Micra EV with a heat pump and battery thermal management system for stable performance.
Nissan Micra EV: Tech-Forward Cabin
Inside, the Micra EV raises the bar for the class. Twin 10.1-inch screens dominate the dashboard, providing effortless access to maps. Google Assistant integration, multi-color ambient lighting. Ahigh-end Harman Kardon audio system provide a tech-savvy, comfortable ambiance. Up to 326 liters of boot capacity and split-folding rear seats make the Micra EV as versatile as its predecessor.
Smart Innovations for Contemporary Lives
Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. Which enables owners to supply power for laptops, camping equipment. Even small appliances directly from the vehicle’s battery. A benefit for outdoor enthusiasts and city dwellers alike.
Launch Timeline and Global Outlook
Nissan Micra EV will arrive in Europe late in 2025. With orders for pre-orders taking place in the autumn. As for availability in other parts of the world, Nissan has not yet released confirmation. But the waiting is universal, particularly among markets that demand small, efficient EVs.
