The new BYD Seal 06GT
The electric hot hatch, initially showcased at the Beijing Auto Show in April, is based on BYD’s new e-Platform 3.0 Evo. Termed the Ocean-M concept, it boasts advanced technology. The platform, referred to as 3.0 Evo, is also utilized in the Sea Lion 07, an electric SUV meant to rival Tesla’s Model Y.
BYD claims that the 3.0 Evo platform features the world’s first full scenario intelligent pulse self-heating technology, which allows for a 40% reduction in charge time, even in extremely cold conditions.
Featuring a sleek, sporty design with a low-sitting silhouette, the electric hot hatch is both modern and stylish. The interior has the latest smart technology and software, including a 15.6″ floating center infotainment, a 10.25″ driver display, and a 12″ head-up display. Interior color options include shell white or twilight blue.
Equipped with an advanced version of the DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system, the Seal 06GT supports 3D vehicle management and voice assist.

This upcoming model, at a length of 4,630 mm, width of 1,880 mm, height of 1,490 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, is set to pose a challenge to rivals like Volkswagen’s ID.3 GTX Performance.
