MG Windsor EV Launch and Pricing
MG has officially started delivering the Windsor EV to customers across the country. The model has gained considerable attention for its aggressive pricing and flexible ownership options. Prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Windsor EV is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, giving buyers a range of options based on their preferences. The car also comes in four color options: Turquoise Green, Clay Beige, Pearl White, and Starburst Black.
Battery as a Service (BaaS) Program
A standout feature of the Windsor EV is the Battery as a Service (BaaS) program. This subscription-based model allows customers to buy the vehicle without the battery and pay a monthly fee for battery usage. MG has extended the BaaS program to its other electric offerings, including the ZS EV and Comet EV.
BaaS reduces the initial cost of ownership and gives customers flexibility by separating the battery from the vehicle’s price. It also helps manage battery upgrades more efficiently.
Performance, Power, and Range
The Windsor EV is powered by a 38kWh battery pack connected to a single electric motor. It delivers 134bhp and 200Nm of torque, which ensures a smooth driving experience. MG claims the EV offers a range of 332km on a single charge, making it suitable for both city commutes and occasional highway drives.
Drivers can switch between four driving modes: Eco, Eco+, Normal, and Sport, depending on their needs and driving conditions.
