MG Motor India recently launched its highly anticipated Windsor EV, priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (with BaaS) or Rs. 13.5 lakh (outright purchase). Within just 24 hours of opening bookings, the company garnered over 15,000 registrations. As part of its customer outreach, MG hosted a mega delivery event in Bangalore, where 101 Windsor EVs were handed over to buyers.
Windsor EV Variants and Colors
The MG Windsor EV comes in three variants:
- Excite
- Exclusive
- Essence
Customers can choose from four unique paint schemes:
- Clay Beige
- Turquoise Green
- Starburst Black
- Pearl White

Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Program Introduction
The Windsor EV is MG’s first model to feature the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. This subscription-based model allows customers to purchase the car without owning the battery outright, significantly reducing the upfront cost. MG is planning to expand this offering to other models like the ZS EV and Comet EV, promoting affordability and wider EV adoption.
Performance and Driving Range
Under the hood, the Windsor EV houses a 38kWh battery pack across all variants. This setup delivers a claimed range of 331km on a single charge. The motor produces 134bhp and 200Nm of torque, ensuring a balance between performance and efficiency.
The vehicle offers four driving modes for different scenarios and three levels of regenerative braking, enabling drivers to maximize energy recovery and extend driving range.

MG Motor held a grand delivery event in Bangalore, marking a milestone in the Windsor EV’s journey. At the event, 101 Windsor EVs were delivered to customers in a single day, reflecting the car’s popularity and MG’s dedication to timely deliveries.
