Mercedes revealed the GLC EV during a high-profile “Pre-Night” event at the Munich Residence. With Chairman Ola Källenius emphasizing the model’s importance. “We’re not just introducing a new model – we’re electrifying our top seller. It will feature a bold new design language, cutting-edge technology, our MB.OS. Performance that sparks excitement. The new GLC is comfort, dynamics, efficiency and intelligence in perfect harmony.”

Platform & Range:
- With the new MB.EA electric platform. The GLC EV has a WLTP range of up to 713km from its 94kWh battery, the longest-range electric Mercedes SUV to date.
Powertrains:
- GLC 300+ (RWD): One motor, 374bhp (504Nm).
- GLC 400 4MATIC (AWD): Two motors, up to 489bhp (808Nm), 0–100km/h in around 4.7s.
Charging:
- Employs 800-volt technology for lightning-fast charging. 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes. A 10-minute top-up can add over 300km of range.
Design and Technology
- Exterior: The SUV boasts an enormous illuminated grille of 942 LED pixels that can display animated welcomes. The new signature of Mercedes design.
- Interior: A 39.1-inch Hyperscreen runs from A-pillar to A-pillar. Housing instrument cluster, infotainment, climate controls, and passenger interface. Available S-Class-inspired air suspension and rear-wheel steering add even more comfort and maneuverability.

- Sculptural trim, panoramic glass roof with star-inspired ambient lighting.
- MBUX Hyperscreen with zone dimming keeps vital information in view at all times. While ambient styles establish mood themes that are customizable.

Mercedes GLC EV: Market Availability and India Launch
The GLC EV will begin global sales in the first half of 2026. With Indian launch to follow shortly, potentially positioning it as a market leader against competitors such as the BMW iX3.
