Mahindra is gearing up for a significant expansion in the electric vehicle (EV) sector with plans to introduce new electric SUVs for both the Indian and international markets. In a recent showcase, the company unveiled five innovative electric models slated for future release, with the BE.05 and XUV.e9 models nearing completion. Recent images captured during a commercial shoot hint at an upcoming global launch for these models.
The Mahindra BE.05 and XUV.e9 were spotted without any camouflage, revealing their full production designs for the first time. These images suggest that the official release of the commercial is imminent, offering a glimpse into the features of these upcoming models.

Mahindra is setting its sights on a global market presence with these electric SUVs, based on their exclusive INGLO platform. The goal is to initially dominate the Indian market and then extend their expertise to international territories.
Design Highlights of the Mahindra Electric SUVs The new models feature modern aesthetics, including 19-inch aerodynamically designed wheels and a glossy black finish on the squared wheel arches and side body claddings. The vehicles boast innovative design elements like flush pop-out door handles and a fixed glass roof that flows into a split spoiler, along with a similar design on the rear bumper.
Distinctive front-end features include C-shaped LED daytime running lights, an illuminated BE logo, and a functional grill that enhances airflow. The XUV.e9 is available in striking Golden and Red hues, presenting a bold front fascia with vertically arranged headlights and connecting LED DRLs.
Interior and Technological Innovations Inside, the BE.05 offers a cockpit-inspired layout with a prominent division in the center, a floating console, and dual 10.25-inch display screens. The XUV.e9 includes a triple screen setup, enhancing its high-tech environment. Both models feature a new steering wheel design with an illuminated logo and extensive heads-up displays.
Engine and Power Details
While the precise powertrain specifications remain undisclosed, there is speculation that the BE.05 and XUV.e9 will offer battery capacities ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. These may come with the option of a single-motor rear-wheel drive or a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. Mahindra currently has a presence in various global markets with models like the Pik-Up range, Scorpio N, and XUV700, and plans to include the upcoming electric models such as the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 in its export portfolio.
The choice to focus on advanced design elements and high-tech interiors suggests that Mahindra is not just entering the EV market to compete; they are aiming to set new standards.
