Lohia’s fresh EV arm, Youdha. It has launched the Lohia Youdha EPOD. A future-gen electric passenger three-wheeler. Entering India’s thriving L5 market with robust value proposition and aggressive growth aspirations. The national rollout was on July 17, 2025, at the company’s state-of-the-art Kashipur.
Lohia Youdha EPOD: Key Features and Specifications
- Price: The Youdha EPOD retails for ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Targeting commercial fleet operators and self-employed mobility entrepreneurs directly.
- Battery & Motor: Driven by an 11.8kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. A 6kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, the EPOD provides 50-53Nm torque.
- Certified Range: 227km range per charge in Indian road and weather conditions.
- Performance: 45km/h top speed, 300mm water-wading capability. 155-160mm ground clearance, and two driving modes (City/Boost). The three-wheeler is equipped with hydraulic brakes, regenerative braking. It is quick-charging compatible (4-5hr full charge).
- Design & Comfort: Aerodynamic body, ergonomically styled cabin, 7-inch digital LED cockpit. Driver-centric controls, 13° gradeability.
- Capacity: Designed to carry three persons behind the driver, ideal for conventional “auto” duty cycles.
- Manufacturing: Made at Kashipur, Uttarakhand, capacity of 100,000 units annually. Initial roll-out is in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, followed by pan-India expansion.

The launch places Youdha in line with incumbent rivals like Mahindra, Bajaj, and TVS in the rapidly growing L5 market. It is key to last-mile connectivity in urban and semi-urban India.
