The hugely camouflaged test mule conceals most of its styling, but sharp-eyed onlookers picked up some giveaway details:
- Dual charging ports (one on each front fender), giving more convenience in parking and charging. A segment-first in India.
- Aero-optimised alloy wheels and neon brake calipers, drawing inspiration from Kia’s GT-line design language.
- Disc brakes all around.
- LED headlamps, DRLs, flush door handles, and a shark-fin antenna.
- The ratios are similar to the ICE-driven Syros. The EV version can expect a shut-off front grille, special bumpers. EV styling badging for a smoother, aerodynamic appearance.
Powertrain & Range Expectations
Experts report the Syros EV using the underpinnings of the Hyundai Inster EV, which is based on the K1 platform. Two lithium-ion battery pack options are reported:
- 42kWh: Budget variant, with city-purchase focus.
- 49kWh: Long-range variant, with up to 355km real-world range, and a potential extended variant aimed at 400km.
- Charging speeds remain to be officially announced. Though the dual charging port setup might suggest support for quicker DC systems. Greater convenience of home charging in urban India.

Initial rumors indicate the Syros EV will feature:
- EV-specific digital instrument cluster and reworked central infotainment unit.
- New steering wheel and upholstery choices.

Kia Syros EV Launch, Pricing & Segment Positioning
Kia India will launch the Syros EV in January-March 2026, with prices expected to begin from ₹14 lakh and extend to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). This would position it as one of the most aggressively priced electric SUVs in India.
