Jaguar’s Next Big Move: All-Electric Concept Reveal in December
Jaguar is staying committed to its plan to become an all-electric brand, despite a global slowdown in EV demand. The British automaker is preparing to unveil a new concept car in December that will give a glimpse of its future all-electric lineup.
New EV Concept to Preview Upcoming Models
The concept set for a December reveal will preview a four-door GT, along with a Bentley Bentayga-rivaling SUV and a limousine. This marks the start of Jaguar’s next generation of electric vehicles. Priced around GBP 1,00,000 (approximately Rs 1.02 crore), the GT will feature a range exceeding 700km, ultra-rapid charging, and a dual-motor powertrain producing over 580hp.
Distinctive Design and Naming Strategy
Jaguar’s upcoming EVs will break away from traditional designs, featuring long bonnets, minimalist front ends, and almost invisible LED lights. The cars will also have no rear windows, challenging conventional EV design. Jaguar’s iconic leaping cat emblem will be reimagined for this new era. Historic names will influence the new models’ naming strategy, combining nods to the brand’s past with forward-thinking elements.
Jaguar’s Global and Market Strategy
The GT concept will be unveiled in the US, a crucial market for Jaguar, though the brand remains committed to its British roots. Jaguar’s shift to pure EV propulsion contrasts with competitors like Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz, which have adjusted their strategies due to flatlining demand for premium electric cars.

Jaguar’s Production Transition
As Jaguar moves towards its all-electric future, it has already stopped producing models like the XE, XF, and F-Type, with the E-Pace and I-Pace production ending by year-end. The F-Pace will continue production until 2025. Global deliveries of the new electric GT won’t begin until 2026, leading to a period with no new Jaguars on sale in some markets. In India, only the F-Pace SUV is currently available, as the I-Pace and F-Type have been delisted.
ELCTRIK Speaks
Jaguar is set to redefine its future with a bold move into all-electric vehicles. The upcoming EV concept, debuting in December, will set the stage for this transformation. With a focus on innovative design and technology, Jaguar aims to stand out in the evolving EV market. As the brand transitions, it will face a brief period without new models, but the anticipation for what’s coming next is building.
