Bengaluru, June 25, 2025 — Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has achieved a key milestone in its electric mobility journey. Opening its first-ever Honda Concept EV Store at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. The launch aligns with the roll-out of an affordable “BaaS Lite” battery subscription plan for the Activa e: To make electric mobility more affordable for Indian consumers.
A New Shopping Experience: Inside the Honda EV Concept Store
The EV Concept Store is an immersive & futuristic environment. Where customers can discover Honda’s vision of sustainable mobility. The store highlights:
- Dynamic LED Display: The focal point of the store is to provide interactive information. On Honda’s global electrification path, product features, and brand narrative.
- History Wall: Charting Honda’s history and milestones in innovation and mobility.
- Product Display Area: Exhibiting the Activa e:, QC1, and other electric products, in addition to international innovations. Such as the Honda Jet scale model, Moto Compacto foldable e-scooter, and the eGX electric go-kart.
- Safe Tech Zone: Exposing fundamental EV technologies. Such as PMS motors, swappable batteries, chargers, and Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger. For live battery-swapping demonstrations.
- Kids’ Interaction Area: Family-friendly activities, in line with Honda’s open approach to mobility.
Honda Concept EV Store Affordable Electric Mobility: The BaaS Lite Plan
With the store opening. Honda launched the “Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Lite Plan” for the Activa e: at only ₹678 per month. The plan delivers up to 20kWh of battery use per month. Equivalent to an estimated 23–25 km of daily driving range. Perfect for city dwellers with low commute requirements.
- Battery Swapping: The scheme supports up to 12 battery swaps in a month. At authorized Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: stations. Extra swaps incur ₹180 per swap.
- Flexible Billing: Honda’s strategy is all about total monthly energy usage. Not daily limits, offering customers the liberty to adjust usage according to their needs.
- Other Plans: The Basic (₹1,999/month, 35kWh) and Advance (₹3,599/month, 87kWh). Plans that are currently available will continue to be in offer for customers with heavy usage.
Activa e: The Star Attraction
The Activa e: comes in two forms:
- Standard: ₹1.17 lakh (ex-showroom)
- RoadSync Duo: ₹1.52 lakh, with a 7-inch TFT screen, Bluetooth, and premium controls.
Both models have twin 1.5kWh interchangeable batteries. Which provide the claimed range of 102 km on a full charge in IDC conditions.
