MG Motor India has started delivering its all-electric crossover, the Windsor EV, to customers. Priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), this EV offers an affordable yet feature-packed option in the growing electric vehicle market. It is powered by a 38 kWh battery paired with a 136 PS (horsepower) and 200 Nm electric motor, delivering an impressive range of 332 kilometers on a full charge. One of its key selling points is MG’s innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, allowing customers to lease the battery separately, which helps in reducing the upfront purchase cost significantly.
The Windsor EV is packed with advanced features, including a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and a suite of safety features like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). It also supports fast charging capabilities, allowing for a quick recharge in under an hour.
This EV is positioned to compete with rivals like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400, offering a blend of affordability, modern tech, and eco-friendly driving. The Windsor EV’s launch marks MG’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup in the Indian market.
