Revolt Motors launches its new electric bikes, the RV1 and RV1+, targeting the affordable commuter market. These bikes are priced competitively, starting at Rs 84,999 for the RV1 and Rs 99,999 for the RV1+. Pre-booking has already started with a token amount of Rs 499, and the waiting time is only 10 days.
India’s First Electric Commuter Bike with Reverse Mode
The RV1 and RV1+ are touted as India’s first electric commuter bikes equipped with reverse mode. According to Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of Rattan India Enterprises Limited, this feature, along with its affordability, makes the bike unique in the market. She highlighted Revolt Motors’ position as the number one electric motorbike company in India and their ambition to maintain leadership in the coming years.

- RV1 comes with a 2.2kWh battery, priced at Rs 84,999.
- RV1+ has a 3.2kWh battery, priced at Rs 99,999.
- RV1 takes 2hr 15min to charge from 0 to 80%.
- RV1+ takes 3hr 30min to charge, but fast charging reduces it to 1hr 20min.
Both models deliver a top speed of 70kmph and a peak power of 2.8kW. The RV1 offers an IDC range of 100 km, while the RV1+ provides a range of 160 km.
Design and Features
Both RV1 and RV1+ feature a straight seat design, making them ideal for family rides. Key design elements include:
- Portable batteries are located in the front, resembling conventional fuel tanks.
- Dual disc brakes and a premium chain drive system.
- Round LED headlights and a 6-inch digital display with Eco, City, and Sports modes.
