EVFY Launches Its First EV Charging Station in Gurgaon
EVFY, an electric automotive solutions startup, has officially entered the EV charging infrastructure space. The company has established its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Sector 73, Gurgaon, Delhi-NCR. This is part of their ambitious plan to set up 100 stations across the area, supporting India’s growing electric mobility market.
Charging Station Features and Capabilities
The charging station is at The One, Sales Gallery, on Southern Peripheral Road (SPR). It has dual gun capability and features a digital display with RFID for secure user engagement. The station offers three power outputs: 120 kW, 60 kW, and 7.4 kW. These outputs are designed to support a range of EVs, from two-wheelers to four-wheelers.
India’s Expanding EV Charging Infrastructure
India’s public EV charging infrastructure is rapidly growing. The number of charging stations has increased from 1,800 in February 2022 to 16,347 by March 2024. With over 50 million EVs expected on Indian roads by 2030, the demand for reliable and accessible charging stations will only continue to rise.
Future Expansion Plans for EVFY
Shikhar Yadav, the founder of EVFY, has revealed plans to expand the network to additional locations, including Dwarka Motorway, the Airport Area, and New Gurgaon. The company also aims to install ultra-fast chargers with power outputs of 150 kW and hyper-fast chargers offering 350 kW in the future.
