The Ultraviolet F-77, has been in India, nearly since an year portraying the pioneer of indigenous engineering excellence and now, the electric superbike elevates the level of technological advancement with the introduction of F-77 Mach 2 Series.
Ultraviolet offers the upgraded F-77 at an introductory price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 deliveries. With this makeover, the nation’s fastest electric superbike receives two additional trims; Mach 2 and Mach 2 Recon.

Design:
Developed on a shared Ultraviolet “Platform X” architecture as the F-77, riding on clip-on handlebars, the Mach 2 does not change cosmetically, following a same design as earlier, though as mentioned few changes, such as the lid of the charging port placed over the tank is now finishes in aluminium and changed colour of rear mono-shock suspension, is now evident. The front fully-adjustable up-side-down (USD) forks, now hoists new decals.
Ultraviolet lets the consumers choose the Mach 2 Series in three personas; Stealth, Laser and Airstrike, each comprising of three exterior shades. The Stealth holds colours like, Asteroid Grey, Cosmic Black and Stealth Grey. Whereas, the Laser has Turbo Red, Afterburner Yellow and Plasma Red. Talking on the Airstrike, it features Lightning Blue, Stellar White and Supersonic Silver in the portfolio. All the colours together, becomes a combination of nine new exterior shades.

The biggest upgrade in the Ultraviolet F-77 Mach 2 has come in terms of overall technology. This makeover, now boasts the indigenous electric superbike, with the 10 levels of regen braking on the Recon model, which comes at an introductory price tag of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) while the F77 Mach 2, available at an introductory price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) gets only three levels.
Additionally, dynamic stability control has been integrated to work alongside the ABS and regenerative braking system, enhancing overall stopping power. The updated F77 now equips a switchable, three-step traction control that rides on T1 (Sport/Track), T2 (City/Street) and T3 (Rain/Ice), where T3 offers the highest level of intervention.
Other highlights, include a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-hold assist, to let the bike ride hustle free through the mountains as well. The 5.0- inch coloured TFT digital instrument cluster now options, multiple custom themes and continues to feature navigation. An addition of geo-fencing also adds to the worth of the Mach 2 Series, with enhanced safety standards.
Powertrain:
Ultraviolet Mach 2, draws power from two different battery packs, based on its trims. The Mach 2, utilizes a 7.1 kwh battery source, powering a 27 kw electric motor, which generates an IDC range of upto 211 km on a single charge, while a bigger battery source of 10.3 kwh is used by the Mach 2 Recon, powering a 30 kw electric motor, delivering an IDC range of 323 km on a single charge.
The upgraded, F-77 Mach 2 can now, accelerate 0-100 kmph in duration of just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155 kmph, generating a peak torque output of approximately 100 Nm. This 207 kg electric superbike’s capabilities exceeds above accommodating two riders with a payload capacity upto 15,000 kg.
The company offers a warranty of 800,000 km or 8 years on the battery and the drivetrain under the “UV Care Max program”. The deliveries for the first batch of F-77 Mach 2 have already commenced from May, 2024.
