BMW has taken the wraps off its first ‘M’ electric SUV, the iX M60. It is powered by a dual-motor setup that generates 619PS and 1100Nm, 94PS and 335Nm more than the standard xDrive50 trim. The iX M60 can go from nought to 100kmph within 3.8 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph.
Currently, BMW offers the iX in India in a fully loaded xDrive 40 trim, priced at Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom). However, it has already been sold out, and deliveries will commence in April 2022. The iX competes with the Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-tron, and Jaguar I-Pace.
