Goa, June 7, 2025 – In a major step towards green urban governance. EKA Mobility, along with the Sankhali Municipal Council (SMC). They have inducted 10 cutting-edge electric garbage tippers in Goa. The handing over of the vehicles took place on June 6. It was witnessed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and local municipal authorities. Which was a landmark step towards the state’s green makeover mission.
Key Features of the Electric Garbage Tippers
- Battery and Range: It comes fitted with a 32 kWh lithium ferrous phosphate battery. Which provides a maximum range of 180 km on a full charge. Charging is achieved in 6 to 8 hours.
- Performance: The tippers are capable of a top speed of 80 km/h. They are enabled to carry a payload of 1,000 kg as maximum payload. Which can be used for day-to-day municipal waste collection routes.
- Sustainability: Powered by zero tailpipe emissions and lower levels of noise. These vehicles provide a cleaner, quieter city. Advanced telematics systems are embedded for real-time monitoring of operation.
- Operational Impact: Launching these EVsis likely to improve the Sankhali waste collection efficiency and environment impact.
